Red fruit smoothie in a bowl



Summer has ended now and what a summer it was! A summer full of sunny festivals and lot’s of BBQ’s, my boyfriend and I have been traveling around Thailand (best food I ever ate!) and we finally moved to our new home. I don’t know about you guys but in these kinds of moments, I always eat more than I should and don’t get me started on the amount of alcohol consumed this summer..

Now everything’s slowly turning back to normal, I want to feel fit and healthy like before! Since we have moved to another city, I had to search for a new gym. I used to practice kickboxing and really want to pick it up again! Yesterday I signed up for membership at one of the best (kickboxing) gyms in this area so I can’t wait till my first class!

Exercising is a start but food is even more important so I ran to the store to stock up on all kinds of super foods for the coming week. Chia seeds, flax seeds, all sorts of fresh and frozen fruit, organic muesli and soy yogurt. All you need for this yummy breakfast or lunch. A red fruit smoothie in a bowl.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Portion: serves 1

Supplies: blender


1 banana

1 cup of mixed red fruit (frozen)

1 small handfuls blueberries

1 small handfuls raspberries

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp flax seeds

1 tbsp organic muesli

1/2 cup soy yogurt


Put 1/2 banana, the frozen fruit and the soy yogurt in the blender and process until thick and creamy. Pour the mixture into a bowl and top with what ever you like. I used the other half of the banana, fresh raspberries, blueberries, chia seeds, flax seeds and organic muesli. You can also try goji berries, shredded coconut, raw nuts and other fresh fruit. Be creative and enjoy!
